Who is Adam Gregory

According to Wikipedia:

“Adam Gregory (born July 12, 1985 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) is a country music performer. Active since 2000, he has recorded three studio albums to date, in addition to charting several singles on the Canadian country music charts”

If only it were so, I would not be wasting my time on this silly blog of mine, but alas, I am no country music star. Actually come to think of it all the money in the world isn’t enough to have listen to country music, let alone sing it. Thank You GOD!

Will The Real Adam Gregory Please Stand Up?

Ok so now we know I am not the country singer Adam Gregory. So who am I then? Well the twitter version would read something like this:

“Geek,Father of 6, Hus. of 1. I build the Internet. I was born in SoCal. I love the web, my family, & Jesus. I want 2 help churches w/ tech”

Luckily this isn’t twitter so you can hear a little bit more about me.

My Story

I was born in sunny southern California, just north of L.A. I spent my childhood going to church, getting in trouble and going to the beach. In high school I did the rebellious thing for a bit, but God brought me back into His fold and called me to Santa Clarita Christian School, where I went on to become a Class President, Athlete of the Year(Football, Basketball, & Volleyball), and an all around leader.

After graduation I puttered around a little bit, making some bad choices, until one day I felt the need to get away from everything. So guess what a month later I was in Fort Benning , GA in boot camp training to become an Airborne Ranger. After boot camp and Airborne School I was stationed in Savannah, GA. It was here that I met my wife. We met in August of 2002 two months before I was scheduled to deploy to Kuwait for a regular 6 month training rotation. Well it turned out to last a little bit longer then that due to some little thing called Iraqi Freedom. Anyway I got home got out of the army and three years later here I am.

I currently work as a Web Developer at Marketing Ministries, and spend time with my kids and wife.

My Family

OK so here is the skinny on my family. My wife is the best wife ever and I love her to death. I have six kids: two girls (10 & 1) and four boys in between them (6, 5yr old twins, & 4). We home school them all and they are a handful, but God gives us the grace to survive. I love watching these kids grow up. I can only imagine what God has in store for each of them.

My Passion

I have a heart for all things that have to do with outreach. From marketing and communications, to visitor assimilation, to small groups.

I feel called into the ministry to serve God and advance His Kingdom through helping the Church create a more cohesive message to the Lost and unchurched. I also feel led to help the church reach out and better itself through the use of technology.

I am leading an Open Source project to create a church management system.

I want to empower churches to spread the gospel by giving them awesome technology resources at low or no cost.
