Reverse Spam on Twitter
Some one explain to me what is the point of going on twitter and following like 5000 people. Is this some form of reverse spam? i just don’t get it. I mean if you are selling some sort of junk or service what good does it do you to follow people? That is like reverse spamming, instead of sending stuff out you are receiving it to increase your awareness?
I don’t know I just don’t get it. Anyone out there know what is up with those people that do that.

I think it’s a trick. I, myself, have been duped by it. I get an email telling me that some random person is following me, assume it’s someone from the Marketing Lab, and follow them in return. Then I see that they’re just advertising. It’s similar to the people on MySpace. Also, if someone looks up who is following you, they’ll see their page in the process.
