I hope that all who come to read my musings thoughts, and vision can walk away(or surf away)  blessed by what they have read, spurred by a call to action, and made uncomfortable by our collective in-action. God has put a vision on my heart for the Church. i want to see the Church reach out to those 0who are in need(physical, spiritual, and emotional), but it can’t happen without a radical shift in how we approach church. We need to be more creative, innovative, and strategic.  I know some would say that church has been doing it the same way for thousands of years and we are doing just fine. I would challenge those to examine the way that Jesus approached ministry. he did thing different, he used relevant stories so people could understand God, He made the religious crowd mad by not catering to them but instead by going after those in need, Everywhere he went he was deliberate in his actions, He had a plan and executed it.

Look at the book of Acts. Was Peter content to just keep the message to himself and the disciples, no he went out and preached it to everyone. Was Paul content to just let the Good news stay in Israel for the Jews? Nope, he went out to the world, to the gentile, the very people the Jews looked down on and preached to them using things from their culture and using them to point them to Jesus(Acts 17).

This is my heart to see the Church become apostles, who “go out” and preach to the world we live in, in a way the can relate to, never compromising the message of the death and resurrection of Jesus.
